(WNY News Now) – A 47-year-old Jamestown resident, was taken into custody on December 18, 2023, after Jamestown Police Department officers allegedly discovered crack cocaine during a routine traffic stop on Barrett Ave.

At approximately 1:32 pm, Jamestown PD officers initiated a traffic stop on Barrett Ave near Prather Ave due to observed traffic infractions. Upon searching the vehicle, officers allegedly found a quantity of crack cocaine. The lone occupant, Derek C. Dubois, was promptly arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

The 47-year-old suspect was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was processed and subsequently released with an appearance ticket. Derek is slated to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to address the charges.
