(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – On December, 24, 2023 at 11:40 a.m., Jamestown police successfully prevented a burglary in progress leading to the arrest of a 29-year-old Jamestown resident.

Responding to a reported burglary, officers from the first platoon arrived at the eastside residence to find a broken rear window. After repeated announcements, Jeremy D Lyons, surrendered peacefully through the damaged window.

He was promptly taken into custody without incident. Further investigation alleged that Lyons had kicked out the window before attempting entry. Charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd and Criminal Mischief 4th, Lyons also faces outstanding warrants from the Lakewood Busti Police Department. Lyons was pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
