(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – In the early hours of December 24, 2023, a 31-year-old Jamestown resident, was apprehended by the Jamestown Police Department on charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree classified as a Hate Crime.
Responding to a reported fight at a Southside address at 3:27 am, the third platoon of the Jamestown Police Department found a victim who had suffered a facial punch. Investigation revealed that Kody M Johnson, 31, allegedly assaulted the victim, accompanied by the use of racial slurs.
Johnson was promptly arrested and faces charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree as a Hate Crime. Johnson was held pending arraignment.
