(WNY News Now) – In an effort to help our furry friends find their fur-ever home, WNY News Now has partnered with the Chautauqua County Humane Society in a segment we like to call Pet of The Week. This week’s pet of the week is Chance.

“Hi Lee, everybody watching Western New York News Now. This is Chance. Chance is 12 years old and Chance has an interesting story. Chance was left here at the shelter with all of her medical records and everything. She’s from the Bronx. She came all the way across the state and apparently the people that had her couldn’t keep her and decided to leave her safely here at the shelter. Now she’s here and she is waiting to meet her new family.”

“Like I said, she’s here. 12 years old. She is an FELV cat so we’ll be happy to talk to you more about that during the adoption process but she will have to either live with other cats that have FELV or she’ll have to be an only cat but you can tell she’s just she likes to hang out. She just likes to hang around with you. Like all animals, she has been spayed. She’s microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and all that stuff. So stop on in to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road in Jamestown, and meet Chance. We look forward to seeing you. Thank you, Lee.”
