(WNY News Now) Jamestown, NY  – A 53-year-old Jamestown woman faces a slew of charges, including two counts of Harassment 2nd, after an alleged altercation on 3rd St.

The incident unfolded at 7:15 pm when officers responded to reports of a fight, finding Heather Babyak, 53, behaving disorderly at the intersection of W 3rd St/ Cherry St. Upon attempting to arrest Babyak, officers encountered resistance as she actively resisted, kicking and pulling away. Allegedly attempting to assault both an officer and a nearby complainant during the scuffle, Babyak was apprehended and transported to Jamestown City Jail.

The charges include two counts of Harassment 2nd, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, with Babyak held pending arraignment. Additionally, she faces a charge for possession of methamphetamine.
