(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In the early hours of January 6, 2024, Jamestown Police detained a 26-year-old at North Main Street and E 3rd Street. The arrest, prompted by a known warrant, revealed illegal metal knuckles during a search.

On January 6th, 2024, at 2:06 am, officers from Jamestown Police’s Third Platoon apprehended Jamestown resident Darius L. Franklin, aged 26, at North Main and East 3rd Street. The arrest was made on the basis of a warrant issued by the Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office. A subsequent search allegedly uncovered illegal metal knuckles on Franklin’s person. The 26-year-old, previously convicted in New York State, is now charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. Franklin is currently in custody at Jamestown City Jail, awaiting arraignment.
