(WNY News Now) – Town of Ellicott – The Town of Ellicott police responded to a concerning situation on Jan. 05, 2024 at 3:19 PM, involving a 48-year-old male and a 16-year-old juvenile female on W Oak Hill Rd at Johnson Rd.
Officers were alerted to a suspicious scene where Roman D Arrance, 48, was reportedly standing over a female lying in the roadway beside a vehicle. Following the description, police intercepted a matching vehicle and identified Arrance with the juvenile. Investigation revealed Arrance had picked up the juvenile in Jamestown, entering Ellicott. During the incident, Arrance allegedly struck and harassed the juvenile, resulting in her falling from the moving vehicle and sustaining injuries. Roman Arrance was arrested at the scene, facing charges including child endangerment, unlawful imprisonment, harassment, and reckless endangerment. Town of Ellicott Police received assistance from CCSO and NYSP.
Roman D Arrance is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date.
