(WNY News Now) – NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James today released the following statement in advance of closing arguments in her office’s civil fraud trial against Donald Trump and the Trump Organization for years of financial fraud:
“Before this trial began, the Court ruled in our favor and found that Donald Trump engaged in years of significant financial fraud and unjustly enriched himself and his family. Throughout this trial, we revealed the full scale and scope of that fraud. I am proud of the case we presented, and I am confident that the facts and the rule of law are on our side.”
Closing arguments are taking place today, Thursday, January 11, 2024, beginning at 10 a.m. in New York State Supreme Court, New York County before Justice Arthur F. Engoron.
