(WNY News Now) – A 39-year-old South Dayton resident was taken into custody by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies following an altercation in the Town of Hanover, facing charges of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

On January 13th, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an altercation at a residence in the Town of Hanover. Investigation revealed that Eric W. Dustin, 39, committed Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree. Without incident, Dustin was taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for CAP arraignment. The incident highlights law enforcement’s swift response to maintain public safety. The New York State Police provided assistance during the resolution of the incident.
