(WNY News Now) – Deputies from Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office responded to a disorderly subject in the Town of Hanover on January 23rd, 2024. A 30-year-old woman was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief, Harassment, and Violating an Order of Protection.

On January 23rd, 2024, at 7:47 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office deputies were dispatched to an address in the Town of Hanover following reports of a disorderly subject. Investigation revealed that Rebekka I. Melendez-Bane, 30, had placed a child in harm’s way and violated a valid order of protection. She was promptly taken into custody without incident and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment on charges including Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief, Harassment, and Criminal Contempt.
