(WNY News Now) – A 21-year-old Jamestown resident has been arrested and is facing charges of Strangulation 2nd following a reported domestic dispute on Newland Ave. on 1/25/24 at 5:38 PM.

On the evening of 1/25/24, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a Newland Ave. address for a reported domestic dispute. The investigation uncovered that 21 year old Ronald Mesler allegedly choked the victim to the point of near unconsciousness. Mesler was apprehended without resistance and is now in custody at the Jamestown City Jail.

He is charged with Strangulation 2nd and awaits arraignment at the Jamestown City Court. The victim’s condition remains undisclosed at this time.
