(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY- Jamestown is gearing up for the 20th edition of Doors Open Jamestown, a wintertime scavenger hunt featuring nineteen local attractions. Hosted by the Jamestown Committee of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, the event allows visitors to explore museums and venues for free on Saturday, February 3.

Participating attractions in Doors Open this year are:

Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road

Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, 300 North Main Street

Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame, 15 West 3rd Street

Elizabeth Warner Marvin Community House, 2 West 5th Street

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts, 301 East 2nd Street, Suite 101

James Prendergast Library Association, 509 Cherry Street

Lucile M. Wright Museum, 110 West 3rd Street, Suite 101

*Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum, 2 West 3rd Street

Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown, 18 East 2nd Street

Martz-Kohl Observatory, 176 Robbin Hill Road

*National Comedy Center, 203 West Second Street

The hours for Doors Open are 10am-4pm. The attractions with an asterisk (*) will require advance registration. Please see their websites for details on registration.

Chamber Coordinator in Jamestown, Carrie Swanson, noted, “When you visit a participating attraction, look for the scavenger hunt question, then follow the text-to-enter rules displayed at each site, and you’ll be entered to win a prize. The participating organizations have donated prizes that are assembled into prize packages.”

In addition, eighteen local businesses are taking part in the scavenger hunt, so when you stop for lunch or to do a little shopping during the event you can get bonus entries by looking for the scavenger hunt word at:
