(WNY News Now) – A single-vehicle accident on Beebe Rd in the Town of Hanover resulted in the arrest of a 62-year-old male from North Tonawanda, NY, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and related charges.

On 02/08/2024, at approximately 4:12 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a solo vehicle incident involving William Hayes. Further investigation revealed Hayes was driving under the influence. Subsequently, he was apprehended and transported for processing.

Hayes faces charges including Felony DWI, Aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 or higher, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 1st Degree, Unlicensed Operator, and Moving From Lane Unsafely. He was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
