(WNY News Now) – A 26-year old Salamanca, NY, woman is facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following a hit-and-run accident on State Park Ave, Salamanca.
Alyssa Coustenis, 26, of Salamanca, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after deputies responded to a hit-and-run incident involving property damage. Deputies were called to State Park Ave in the Town of Salamanca, where a vehicle had struck a mailbox and fled the scene. Following a subsequent investigation, authorities located the vehicle and identified Coustenis as the driver at the time of the accident. Further examination revealed signs of intoxication. Coustenis is charged with DWI, Driving with a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Moving From Lane Unsafely, and Speeding. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Salamanca Court at a later date.
