(WNY News Now) – A 37-year old Portville, NY man was apprehended by Salamanca Police on February 7, 2024, following an encounter unrelated to the City of Salamanca. His arrest stems from an active bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court.

Nathan W. Borden, 37, residing in Portville, NY, was taken into custody by the City of Salamanca Police Department on February 7, 2024, around 11:45 AM, during an unrelated interaction. An investigation revealed an outstanding bench warrant against Borden issued by the Cattaraugus County Court. Following the discovery, deputies transported Borden to the COSO Jail, where he will remain detained pending further court proceedings.
