(WNY News Now) – A 33-year-old resident of Jamestown, was charged with multiple offenses including possession of narcotics and weapons following a traffic stop on February 10, 2024, at around 10:33 p.m.

Jamestown police officers from the K-9 Unit and Violent Crimes Unit conducted a routine traffic stop at the intersection of N. Main St. and Lamont St. due to an equipment violation. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Darci L. Giaimo was in possession of methamphetamine, suboxone, plastic knuckles, and a billy club. Additionally, Giaimo was found with an open container of alcohol and dangerous fireworks. Further scrutiny revealed that Giaimo was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

Giaimo faces charges including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Unlawful Dealing with Fireworks and Dangerous Fireworks. Following booking, Giaimo was released on an appearance ticket along with multiple traffic violations.
