(WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old Jamestown resident faces a slew of charges following a domestic incident on Feb. 23, 2024 at a South Side residence, including robbery, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
On the evening of 2/23/24, Second Platoon officers responded to a domestic incident on the South Side. They discovered Serena T. Ellis had physically assaulted an adult female victim, forcibly taking her phone and stealing her vehicle. Two juvenile victims were in close proximity during the altercation. Upon attempting to flee, Ellis was intercepted by an officer who she resisted, causing injury. Ellis was eventually subdued and transported to Jamestown City Jail. Charges against her include Robbery 2nd Degree, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Two Counts), Resisting Arrest, and Unnecessary Noise. Ellis is held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
