(WNY News Now) – Mayville, N.Y. – Chairwoman Nacole Ellis, Vice Chairman Martin Proctor, and the Chautauqua County Republican Committee held a full meeting of their voting-member committee on Monday, February 26th and proudly endorsed the slate of qualified candidates to represent our community.

Chairwoman Nacole Elis: “I am very pleased with the caliber of leadership and representation the Republican Party has offered to Chautauqua County and this years’ slate is an exceptionally strong ticket. From Congressman Langworthy on down, I know our Republican Party has the best vision, plan,
and platform to support the needs and freedoms of the taxpayers in Chautauqua County. We have an exciting election year ahead and I know the grass roots of the Chautauqua GOP is fired up and ready to get to work!”

ENDORSED – Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) for re-election

QUOTE – Congressman Nick Langworthy: “Chautauqua County is where I was born and raised, so to have the privilege to represent its incredible residents is a true honor. I have seen what the disastrous policies of Joe Biden and the Democrats have done to our economy, our quality of life, and our future. Whether it’s reining in wasteful government spending and inflation or securing our border, I am fighting every day to return common sense to Washington. With the right policies that unleash America, our nation and the Southern Tier can thrive.”

ENDORSED – State Senator George Borrello (SD-57) for re-election

QUOTE “I want to thank Chairwoman Nacole Ellis and the Chautauqua County GOP committee for once again endorsing my candidacy for the 57th Senate District.  It is my honor and pleasure to serve the people of this region and I look forward to continuing to ensure that our voice is heard, loud and clear, in Albany.  I am grateful for the support of the committee and their faith in me.”

ENDORSED – State Assembly Candidate Andrew Molitor for (AD-150)

QUOTE “I am grateful that the Chautauqua County Republican Committee has nominated me to run for the New York State Assembly to succeed Assemblyman Goodell, who is retiring at the end of this year.  Rest assured that I will work extremely hard and continue the fight for the issues that are most important to us — more jobs, safer communities, stronger schools, and lower taxes and fees.  As the First Assistant District Attorney, I am appalled that the Democrats in Albany have abolished bail for hundreds of crimes, made New York a & sanctuary state & for illegal immigrants, and have repeatedly undercut our dedicated law enforcement personnel.  As a father with a young family, I am committed to ensuring safer communities, higher quality schools, and a lower cost of living.  I look forward to being a strong positive voice for our County in Albany.”

ENDORSED – District Attorney Jason Schmidt for re-election

QUOTE “This job has meant the world to me and nothing, absolutely nothing, has been more important to me than showing Chautauqua County how grateful I am for entrusting me to serve our community. Not a single day passes when I don’t give everything I have, day and night 24/7, towards holding criminals responsible for the harm they have caused. My sincere thanks to the Republican Party for giving me the opportunity to continue my efforts another four years. I promise, I am just getting started.”

ENDORSED – Family Court Judge Candidate Peter Johnson

QUOTE – “I am excited to publicly announce my candidacy to be the next Family Court Judge for Chautauqua County. I want to thank the Republican leadership of our county for their endorsement. As a lifelong Republican, I consider the endorsement to be quite an honor. I think back to 1999 when I was in law school at Indiana University, and I had the opportunity to represent parents in custody proceedings in the Family Law clinic. I quickly came to understand the impact proceedings like those that I was involved in had on the lives of real people, and most notably children.  After graduating from law school in 2001, I decided to return to our county where I was born and raised to practice law. Working at the firm of Fessenden, Laumer & DeAngelo, I gravitated toward handling cases involving family law.  When I had the opportunity to join Hon. Jeffrey A. Piazza as his
Court Attorney in 2015, I jumped at the chance to work for the court system, specifically our Family Court.  Over the course of the last decade working for the Family Court, I played a critical role in handling all the different types of cases that come before our Family Court.  Having lived all these
experiences, I stand in an ideal position to serve as judge.  During my campaign I hope to convince the voters of at least two things: 1) The Family Court is the most important court; and 2) I am the most qualified candidate to serve as the next Chautauqua County Family Court Judge. I want to thank my team that I am assembling, which certainly includes my wife and four children-without whom I would be unable to achieve this goal.”
