(WNY News Now) – Ellicott Police detained a 44-year-old Jamestown man after he allegedly trespassed and stole a significant quantity of empty cans from the Arthur R Gren Company at 1886 Mason Drive overnight on Feb. 13, 2024.

Ellicott Police responded to a larceny report on 02/13/24, discovering video evidence of Larry J. Whitehill Jr., 44, allegedly climbing over a fenced area of the building. Recognizing him, officers broadcasted a vehicle description, leading JPD to apprehend him around 2 pm the same day.

Charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd, Petit Larceny, and Possession of Burglar Tools, Whitehill awaits a court appearance.
