(WNY News Now) – In the early hours of February 18, 2024, Ellicott Police apprehended a 29-year-old man during a routine traffic stop, revealing he was driving under the influence. The arrest followed a violation related to equipment.

On February 18, 2024, at approximately 2:00 AM, Ellicott Police initiated a traffic stop in the Town for an equipment violation. The investigation led to the discovery that the operator, Ryan J. Richter, aged 29, was driving while intoxicated. Richter was promptly taken into custody and later released with an appearance ticket, summoning him to the Town of Ellicott Court on a future date.
