(WNY News Now) – Mayville, NY – A 39-year-old Jamestown resident has been sentenced to four years in state prison, accompanied by two years of post-release supervision, following a conviction for Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree. The sentencing was delivered by Judge David Foley.
Todd Dalton, age 39 of Jamestown, was sentenced today by Judge David Foley to four years in state prison with two years of post-release supervision after being convicted of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class D felony. In March 2023, the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop and located suspected methamphetamine on Mr. Dalton. Mr. Dalton pled guilty to the charge in January 2024.
Additionally, Mr. Dalton was on felony probation for charges out of Cattaraugus County for a conviction of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class C felony in August 2022. Mr. Dalton violated the terms of his probation after being arrested, he admitted the violation of probation and was sentenced to a term of four years in state prison to be served concurrently.
Mr. Dalton was sentenced as a non-violent predicate felon due to having more than one conviction in 10 years. The DA would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department for their hard work on this case.
