(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In a tense incident at a Westside residence on March 3, 2024, a Jamestown resident was arrested on charges of Criminal Contempt 1st and Harassment 2nd following a domestic dispute.

At 11:20 AM, responding to a reported unwanted person, first-platoon officers found Darin L. Bates, 25, inside the residence. The female victim reported alleged threats of arson and violence, revealing a valid order of protection against Bates. The accused was peacefully taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. Bates faces charges of Criminal Contempt 1st and Harassment 2nd, with his arraignment pending in Jamestown City Court.
