(WNY News Now) – In an effort to help our furry friends find their fur-ever home, WNY News Now has partnered with the Chautauqua County Humane Society in a segment we like to call Pet of The Week. This week’s pet of the week is Sugar Plum.

“Hey Lee, thanks for having us on Western New York News Now. I got my pal Sugar Plum here who’s deeply involved with cleaning herself right now. She is currently up for adoption at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. This gal is five years old. She is a lover. We’re just boopin’ noses together. Just not something I tell everyone but I’ll share it with you guys. But she’s such a cute loving kitty. Look at those eyes. She has been spayed because all the animals that come from here have been spayed or neutered.”

“She’s up to date on her vaccinations. She’s got a microchip. Just a thing about the microchip. There’s not a GPS function to the microchip But it is important because if she were to get out and somebody were to find her they can take her to a vet or to here at the humane society and they’d be able to scan that chip and get your contact information. So yeah, good scratch. Yeah, morning scratch. You can come meet Sugar Plum here at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. We’re open today from 1 to 5:30 tomorrow 11 to 3. And meet Sugar Plum, look at that roll. Thank you, Lee, for having us on Western New York News Now. Find out more, chqhumane.org. Don’t forget Pennies for Paws is going on right now. That’s our largest fundraiser of the year. So find out how you can get involved. Thank you very much.”
