(WNY News Now) –  Jamestown, NY – A routine traffic stop in Jamestown on March 11, 2024 led to the arrest of a 29-year-old resident facing charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.

On the evening of March 11, 2024, Jamestown Police Department officers, engaged in a Crime Prevention detail, halted a vehicle with a loud exhaust system on Newland Ave / Norwood Ave. Further investigation revealed that Aaron A. Johnson of Jamestown was allegedly in possession of an operable stun gun. Subsequent to his arrest and transportation to the Jamestown City jail, a thorough search uncovered a concealed quantity of fentanyl and crack cocaine between his buttocks.

Charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Aaron awaits arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
