The Gerry Volunteer Fire Department and mutual aid teams responded to a structure fire on April 6, 2024, prompting a fire investigation by the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team.
At 11:38 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to 4825 Rt 430 in Gerry. The fire, which originated in the kitchen, led to the occupant being taken to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of fire-related injuries. The investigation has deemed the fire’s cause undetermined pending further inquiry.
