(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In a coordinated effort, Jamestown law enforcement agencies executed a narcotics search warrant resulting in the detention of two individuals and the seizure of significant quantities of drugs, cash, and firearms.
On April 12th, 2024, at approximately 9:30 am, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, along with the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, carried out a planned operation by executing a narcotics search warrant. The operation, supported by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, took place at 38 Whitley Avenue in Jamestown, New York.

During the operation, two adults, identified as Santos I. Santiago and Anabell Santiago, were detained following a traffic stop. Simultaneously, law enforcement officers made entry into the residence where two children were found. Once the residence was secured, a thorough search was conducted, yielding substantial findings.
Detectives allegedly discovered 109.3 grams of fentanyl, 11.3 grams of crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials indicative of drug distribution, and a sum of $30,369.00 in U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from drug sales. Additionally, two handguns, one of which was reported stolen, were seized from the premises.

Both Santos I. Santiago and Anabell Santiago were transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Santos faces multiple charges including possession of controlled substances, criminal possession of firearms, and possession of stolen property. Anabell, found in possession of a switchblade knife and oxycodone pills, faces charges related to drug possession, weapon possession, and possession of stolen property.

The successful operation was made possible through the collaboration of various law enforcement agencies, including the Jamestown Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Emergency Services Tac Meds, and the Jamestown Fire Department.
