(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A 48-year-old homeless individual, faces charges of Criminal Mischief 2nd, Aggravated Harassment 2nd, and Harassment 2nd after causing chaos at UPMC Chautauqua on April 14, 2024.

On April 14, 2024 around 9:23 pm, Jamestown Police responded to reports of a disorderly individual at UPMC Chautauqua. Daniel M. Baird was alleged to have damaged medical equipment valued at approximately $11,000 and spat on two hospital employees before fleeing. He was swiftly apprehended nearby without resistance. Baird now awaits arraignment at Jamestown City Court, held for charges including Criminal Mischief 2nd and multiple counts of harassment. Following his initial detention in Jamestown City Jail, he was transferred to Chautauqua County Jail.

  2. We need some serious mental health intervention that has a higher success rate. A lot of personal accountability problems, for sure. But I also believe these people aren’t “throw aways”, either.
    Satan and his demons are real. God will always be stronger. ♥️ I pray God blesses him and his eyes are open for a turn-around…as well as for others that struggle in similar ways.
