(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. – Audubon Community Nature Center (ACNC) encourages you to show your support for your favorite non-profits through Warren Gives 2024. 

No reservations are needed to join Audubon folks from 4–8 p.m. at Bent Run Brewing Company, 20 Clark Street in Warren on Wednesday, May 15 to celebrate. 

Donate to Audubon through WarrenGives.org while you’re there, and get 15% off your meal plus one free drink coupon. 

Bring extra cash to participate in the raffle that includes gift packages from Allegheny Outfitters, Bent Run, and Audubon.

The money raised through Audubon’s 2024 Warren Gives goes toward taking Warren County elementary students out into their schoolyards where they explore and make new discoveries with Audubon’s nature educators. These programs are in addition to the classroom programs already taking place within Warren County schools from Sheffield to Youngsville. 

All donations made to Audubon through WarrenGives.org on May 15 will be matched by two long-time ACNC supporters up to $3,500, doubling your donation. In addition, all donations made to Audubon will qualify towards the Community Foundation of Warren County’s matching funds. 

Audubon is looking to raise a total of $8,000 through this fundraising opportunity.

Together with Audubon, you can ensure that Warren County children have real and healthy connections to nature.

If you can’t be there in person, your donations will be matched when you donate at WarrenGives.org on May 15 between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

You can also donate by mailing a check to the Community Foundation of Warren County accompanied by a Check Acceptance Form found at WarrenGives.org/organizations/donating-by-check or picked up at 310 Second Avenue, Warren, Pa. Checks and forms must be received no later than Monday, May 13 to be part of Warren Gives.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. You can visit the nearly 600-acre nature preserve, check in on the live birds of prey, enjoy the native tree arboretum, gardens, picnic area, and natural play space, and hike over five miles of trails dawn until dusk daily for free. 

The three-story Nature Center building houses interactive displays, a collection of live animals including the Hellbender exhibit, winners of the 2023 Nature Photography Contest, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Sundays, 1–4:30 p.m. Nature Center members and SNAP/EBT cardholders have free building admission daily. Building admission is also free every Sunday for non-Nature Center members.
