(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – In a recent domestic incident on the West Side a 20-year-old local woman was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, following an altercation near Baker Park.

Anikka G. Coulter, a twenty-year-old female, was apprehended by officers of the first platoon on May 8, 2024 around 9:58 AM in the vicinity of W. 5th St. and Clinton St. Responding to reports of an alleged domestic disturbance involving an infant, officers were informed by a witness that Coulter was allegedly witnessed throwing a small child to the ground during an argument with a male individual near Baker Park. The male, later identified as the child’s father, managed to safely remove the child from the situation and depart the area.

Subsequently, law enforcement located Coulter and placed her under arrest for endangering the welfare of a child. Fortunately, the child involved did not sustain any injuries and was checked on by officers. Coulter was then transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she remains held pending arraignment.
