(WNY News Now) – Gerry, NY – Two individuals apprehended by deputies in the Town of Gerry after a traffic complaint led to the alleged discovery of methamphetamine in their possession.

Deputies from the local sheriff’s office responded to a reported traffic incident on Route 60 in the Town of Gerry around 1:13 pm on May 3rd. The incident involved a northbound vehicle colliding with a guardrail, causing substantial damage, before leaving the scene. Subsequently, deputies traced the vehicle to Country Fair in Gerry.

Upon further investigation, the driver, Zachary Clark, was allegedly found to be carrying a quantity of methamphetamine. Additionally, his passenger, Jamie Warner, was also alleged to be in possession of the same substance. During the arrest process and transport, Warner allegedly attempted to conceal items within the sheriff’s patrol vehicle.

As a result of these findings, Jamie Warner faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and felony tampering with physical evidence. Meanwhile, Zachary Clark has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Both individuals were transported to the county jail to await arraignment.
