(WNY News Now) – Little Valley, NY – A 40-year-old resident of Little Valley, NY, was apprehended on charges of Petit Larceny, Criminal Contempt 1st, and Aggravated Family Offense following a domestic altercation investigated by local Deputies.

On May 2, 2024, at approximately 5:19 in the afternoon, law enforcement responded to an alleged domestic disturbance incident in Rock City St. Little Valley. John D. Newark was taken into custody after an altercation where it was alleged that he had stolen the keys of the victim involved and attempted to evade authorities on foot.

Further investigation revealed the existence of an Order of Protection against Newark, heightening the severity of the charges. Despite a brief pursuit, law enforcement successfully apprehended Newark, who was subsequently processed and arraigned in the Town of Little Valley Court.

In addition to the charges related to the domestic dispute, Newark was also processed on an outstanding warrant stemming from an unrelated incident. The nature of this warrant remains undisclosed.
