(WNY News Now) – Hinsdale, NY – An arrest has been made in the Town of Hinsdale after a registered level 3 sex offender, allegedly failed to update his address and register his email accounts and internet service provider within the required 10-day period.
Following an investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau, Harold R. Hunt Jr., aged 56, residing at 3869 Canal St. Hinsdale, NY 14743, faces three counts of Failure to Register with the New York State Sex Offender’s Registry.
The incident, which occurred on May 8, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., unveils accusations against Hunt Jr. for not updating his address upon moving from his previous residence. Additionally, he allegedly neglected to register his email accounts and internet service provider as mandated by law.
Hunt Jr. is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hinsdale Court at a later date and time to answer to the charges brought against him.
