The Syracuse Police Department will pay tribute to its fallen officers during a ceremony on Monday, May 13th, marking the commencement of National Police Week.

Scheduled for 10 a.m. at Forman Park, 717 East Genesee Street, Syracuse, the ceremony will include the unveiling of fallen hero Michael Jensen’s name on the wall of fallen officers. Officer Jensen’s badge number will also be retired as part of the solemn commemoration. The event serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers in service to their communities. National Police Week, observed annually, honors officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and recognizes the ongoing dedication of those who continue to serve. The Syracuse Police Department extends an invitation to all members of the community to join in honoring the memory and service of these brave individuals.
