(WNY News Now) – Mayville, NY – In a surprising turn of events at Chautauqua County Jail, a 24-year-old female inmate, has been apprehended for allegedly promoting prison contraband 1st degree and possession of a controlled substance.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Corrections Officers allegedly uncovered the illicit activities during a routine cell search on May 13th, 2024, around 1:05pms. Their search of Dorsey-Carter’s cell revealed a stash of methamphetamine, prompting immediate action.

Dorsey-Carter, currently detained at the Chautauqua County Jail, now faces serious charges including promoting prison contraband 1st degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree.

Authorities have affirmed their commitment to maintaining security and preventing the circulation of contraband within the jail premises. Dorsey-Carter’s case will be adjudicated in the Town of Chautauqua Court, where she will be required to answer to the allegations brought against her.

  1. Its really sad that inmates would learn your in jail for a reason then to be stupid enough to have drugs brought to you .when are people going to learn.you will get caught
