(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A 49-year-old resident of Jamestown, was arrested by Jamestown Police in the early hours of May 13, 2024, after officers conducting a routine street check allegedly found him in possession of methamphetamine and violating traffic laws while riding a bicycle.

In the early hours of May 13, 2024, at approximately 3:21 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon were conducting routine patrols in the North side of the city near the intersection of E 6th Street and Prendergast Ave when they encountered a male individual riding a bicycle without a headlight, a violation of New York State vehicle and traffic laws.

Upon stopping the individual, identified as Patrick F. Patterson, aged 49 and a resident of Jamestown, officers conducted an investigation and discovered Patterson to be in possession of 4.3 grams of methamphetamine. Consequently, Patterson was taken into custody and transported to the city jail.

Patterson has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and was being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
