On May 7, 2024, at approximately 8:32 PM, William J. Swift, 60, of Salamanca, NY, was taken into custody following an investigation into an animal complaint on Bucktooth Run Rd. Swift was identified as the suspect and transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He faced arraignment in court and was released on his own recognizance. Swift is charged with four counts of animal cruelty under AM 353-A and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Salamanca Court at a later date for further proceedings.
