(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A 37-year-old Jamestown resident, was apprehended on Water St after allegedly assaulting a victim with a metal pipe.

On May 15, 2024, at approximately 1:50 pm, law enforcement responded to a disturbance on Water St, where a violent altercation was reported. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Lovella A. Kellom had allegedly attacked another individual with a metal pipe. The victim sustained a head injury and was promptly transported to UPMC for medical care.

Prior to police arrival, Kellom fled the scene but was later apprehended by officers of the second platoon in the vicinity of Allen St/Maple St. She was found in possession of the weapon allegedly used in the assault.

Kellom faces charges of Assault 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.
