Jamestown police arrested Jose Correa, 22, on May 19th after a brief struggle when he attempted to flee on a skateboard.

On May 19, 2024, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Jamestown police responded to a report of a suspicious person at E 5th St/Prendergast Ave. Officers found Jose Correa, a 22-year-old Jamestown resident, outside an apartment building. Correa had active warrants from both Jamestown and Cheektowaga Town Police Departments for Menacing 3rd and Aggravated Harassment 2nd, along with Resisting Arrest.

When officers attempted to apprehend Correa, he tried to escape on his skateboard. After a brief struggle, officers successfully took him into custody. Correa was transported to Jamestown City Jail and is held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
