(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. – Join the Audubon Community Nature Center for an enchanting afternoon of storytelling with your young ones on Sunday, June 2. The First Sunday Storytime event, perfect for children aged 2–8, promises a captivating journey through nature-themed stories.
Doors open at 12:20 p.m. for the 12:30–1 p.m. story session, ahead of the general public opening at 1 p.m. This free event is a wonderful opportunity to bond with your child, grandchild, or a young friend through a literary adventure.
After the storytelling, explore the diverse indoor and outdoor Nature Play Areas, live animal exhibits, and interactive displays. With free admission to the Nature Center building every Sunday, it’s an ideal way to spend a day learning and playing in nature.
Participation is limited to 15 children, so reservations are recommended. Secure your spot by calling (716) 569-2345 or visiting AudubonCNC.org and navigating to Programs and Events. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space permits.
Audubon Community Nature Center, located at 1600 Riverside Road, offers nearly 600 acres of preserved nature, live birds of prey, a native tree arboretum, and over five miles of hiking trails. The Nature Center building features a three-story complex with live animal exhibits, including the popular Hellbender exhibit, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop.
Open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Nature Center provides free admission to members and SNAP/EBT cardholders.
