(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A routine traffic stop in the early hours of May 24, 2024, resulted in the arrest of a Lakewood man on multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated.
In the early morning at approximately 1:40 AM, officers from the third platoon initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of W 3rd St and Lafayette St after observing multiple traffic violations. The driver, identified as 47-year-old Kenneth R Distrola Jr. from Lakewood, was subsequently taken into custody.
During the investigation, officers discovered that Distrola was driving with revoked operating privileges. Additionally, his vehicle lacked a distinctive plate. Distrola was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was processed and held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
The charges against Kenneth R Distrola Jr. include driving while intoxicated (DWI), aggravated unlicensed operator (AUO) in the first degree, and no distinctive plate.
Kenneth R Distrola Jr. is considered innocent of these allegations until proven guilty in a court of law.
