Jamestown, NY – Maribel Cruz-Brown, Senior Vice President for Customer Solutions at the New York Power Authority (NYPA), will be a featured speaker at the Retool’24 Conference on June 11th at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel. Organized by the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU), this one-day event delves into clean energy sector opportunities tailored for small and medium-sized manufacturers.

Joining Cruz-Brown on the speaker lineup are prominent entities such as NextCorps and its Scale for ClimateTech and SecondMuse programs, all dedicated to advancing clean technology commercialization.
Cruz-Brown’s talk will spotlight NYPA’s economic development programs, particularly its allocation of cost-competitive hydropower to stimulate job creation, retention, and capital investment across New York State. This aligns seamlessly with the conference’s emphasis on clean energy initiatives.
David L. Leathers, General Manager of Jamestown BPU, underscored the significance of NYPA’s contributions to regional economic development, citing instances like Electrovaya’s decision to establish its first US production facility in Ellicott due to low-cost renewable power.
