Jamestown, NY ― On June 11th, the Retool’24 Conference at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel will gather business experts and developers to discuss how small and medium manufacturers can integrate into the clean energy supply chain ecosystem. The conference, themed “Connect, Collaborate, Create Clean Energy Opportunities,” aims to highlight the potential within the I-Tech Corridor in Western New York for companies producing components for the semiconductor industry.

Key speakers include Joseph Stefko, president and CEO of ROC2025, and Jonathan Bird, executive director of the Advanced Semiconductor Technologies Center at the University of Buffalo. They will address the advantages of public-private partnerships and the academic and business resources available for manufacturers expanding into clean energy components.

Additional panelists include Jude Auman from Ljungstrom, a company producing parts for offshore wind turbines, and Kristian Ravn, co-founder of Green Ducklings, which collaborates with NYSERDA to identify supply chain companies for offshore wind projects off the New York and New Jersey shores.

Benjamin Rand of Insyte Consulting and John Cerveny of NY-BEST will discuss opportunities in the energy storage sector. Insyte Consulting is involved in a multi-state Appalachian Regional Commission grant on green manufacturing, while NY-BEST and NENY aim to close gaps in the domestic battery supply chain, positioning the Southern Tier as a Battery Tech Hub.

Another panel will focus on the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), featuring Ryan Case from Insyte Consulting, Carol Miller from the Alliance for Manufacturing and Technology, and Kathleen Martin from Scale for ClimateTech. Moderated by Mike Riedlinger of NextCorps, this discussion will explore how MEP resources can help companies commercialize clean technologies.

The conference will also address energy management strategies in a panel including Robert Kirslis of Eaton, Stacey Sabo from NYSERDA, and Dwayne Caldwell of Enspi Technologies, moderated by Derek Johnson of BldgBoss.

A vendor showcase will round out the agenda, offering further networking and learning opportunities. Pre-registration is required at Retool24Event.eventbrite.com. For more information, contact Ellen Ditonto at 716.661.1686 or businessdev@jamestownbpu.com.
