Ellicott, NY – Marilynn A. Donato, 20, has been charged with assault in the first degree following a stabbing incident on May 2, 2024. Ellicott officers responded to the scene after receiving a report of the altercation, which left one woman seriously injured.
After conducting an investigation, authorities determined that Donato allegedly stabbed another female during a confrontation, inflicting serious physical harm with a dangerous instrument. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and the extent of her injuries, while severe, has not been detailed by the police.
Donato was arrested at the scene and subsequently transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, where she underwent a centralized arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to respond to the assault charge.
