(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is gearing up for its annual “Cents for St. Susan’s” fundraiser, inviting the community to savor the season’s first grilled hot dogs while supporting a vital cause. On Thursday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., BPU employee volunteers will host a hot dog sale outside the BPU Customer Service Office at 92 Steele Street, accessible via the “D Driveway.”
This charitable event offers a delicious way to give back. With every purchase of hot dogs, chips, soda, and water, patrons contribute to the 25th annual fundraiser aimed at supporting the St. Susan Center, Jamestown’s local soup kitchen that serves over 4,000 meals monthly.
In addition to enjoying a tasty meal, community members can bring redeemable cans and bottles to the sale, further boosting the campaign’s funds. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact on the lives of those relying on the services provided by St. Susan’s.
Should inclement weather arise, the rain date is set for June 18. For any inquiries about the event or the drive, BPU Communications Coordinator Becky Robbins is available at 716-661-1680.
Donations to “Cents for St. Susan’s” can also be made directly. Checks should be sent to St. Susan Center, c/o Jamestown BPU, P.O. Box 700, Jamestown. Cash gifts are welcomed at the BPU Customer Service Office.
Join the Jamestown BPU in making a difference one hot dog at a time, and help feed those in need through this simple yet powerful community initiative.
