A routine traffic stop in Jamestown led to the arrest of a local man on multiple drug possession and paraphernalia charges.

On the evening of May 30, 2024, at approximately 9:29 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Myrtle Street near Superior Street due to inadequate headlights on the vehicle. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Jamestown resident Frank C. Nazario, was found to be the sole occupant of the vehicle.

During the investigation, officers discovered that Nazario was in possession of a quantity of cocaine, Tramadol Hydrochloride, a digital scale, and a significant amount of U.S. currency suspected to be proceeds from drug sales. Nazario was immediately taken into custody and charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd, 4th, and 7th degrees, as well as criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree.

Nazario was held pending arraignment at the Jamestown City Court.
