A Lakewood woman faces charges after using her vehicle to block a school intersection, disrupting traffic and hindering a school bus.
Rui Chen, 51, of Lakewood, has been charged with disorderly conduct following an incident on May 28th. According to police reports, Chen used her vehicle to block the intersection at Southwestern Central School on Southwestern Drive, causing significant disruption to traffic and the operation of a school bus.
The incident, which occurred around 2:18 PM, prompted the Ellicott police to investigate after receiving multiple calls from concerned citizens. Witnesses reported that Chen’s actions not only obstructed regular traffic flow but also interfered with the timely schedule of a Southwestern school bus, affecting the school’s transportation services.
Upon investigation, police determined that Chen’s actions were deliberate, leading to her being charged with disorderly conduct. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court to respond to the charges.
