Little Valley, NY – In an incident at the Cattaraugus County Jail, inmate John H. Rose, 43, from Delevan, NY, has been arrested for aggravated harassment and menacing following two separate altercations with correctional officers.
The incident occurred on June 4, 2024, at approximately 11:00 am. According to Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted a thorough investigation leading to the arrest. Rose faces charges of aggravated harassment, a class E felony, and menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
In the first altercation, Rose allegedly attacked a correctional officer, attempting to cause injury. In a separate incident, he reportedly spat on another correctional officer.
Currently, Rose remains in custody at the Cattaraugus County Jail, pending arraignment in the Village of Little Valley court at a future date.
