Sinclairville, NY – On June 8, 2024, at approximately 3:42 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck and a tractor on Sinclair Drive Extension.

John B. Spitale, 77, from Sinclairville, NY, was identified as the driver of the pickup truck. According to the deputies’ report, Spitale failed to yield to a slow-moving farm tractor towing a cultipacker, resulting in a rear-end collision. The impact of the crash led to Spitale sustaining significant injuries, necessitating his airlift to ECMC Medical Center by STAT helicopter for further medical treatment.
