A domestic disturbance escalated on Jamestown’s south side, leading to the arrest of a 22-year-old local resident on charges of criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
On June 10, 2024, at approximately 5:16 PM, Jamestown police responded to a call for assistance regarding a domestic dispute on the city’s south side. Upon arrival, officers encountered Daniel J. Haney, a 22-year-old resident of Jamestown, involved in a heated altercation.
During the officers’ attempt to mediate the situation, Haney allegedly picked up a rock and threw it through the apartment window, causing significant damage. Officers moved to detain Haney, who then fled the scene on foot. After a brief chase, police apprehended Haney and transported him to the city jail.
Haney faces charges of Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree and Resisting Arrest. He is currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
