The City of Dunkirk is abuzz with excitement as the Music on the Pier Summer Concert Series enters its second week, promising an evening of electrifying performances in Memorial Park.

The spotlight will shine on Women Who Rock Night, showcasing the talents of two remarkable bands. Kicking off the festivities from 5:25 to 6:45 p.m. is the local sensation, Midnight Recovery. Led by the powerhouse vocals of Cortney Chyme and accompanied by Todd Langworthy on bass and vocals, Paul Przybycien on guitar, and Kevin Parker on drums, Midnight Recovery promises a diverse repertoire spanning classic rock and contemporary country hits.

Following their performance, the stage will be graced by Gypsy Queen from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Comprising seasoned musicians from esteemed bands like PassionWorks, Reset to Vinyl, and Acoustria, Gypsy Queen is dedicated to honoring the iconic music of Heart and Fleetwood Mac. With Carolyn Daniels and Leah Pinnavaia on vocals, accompanied by John Daniels and Scott Helfrich on guitars, Chris Rizzo on keyboards, Tim O’Connell on drums and percussion, and John Caruso on bass and vocals, Gypsy Queen guarantees a nostalgic journey through beloved classics.
